F A Q S

  • I am currently accepting a limited number of Aetna clients. Please inquire for availability.

As an out-of-network provider, I'm pleased to provide you with a detailed receipt for potential insurance reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider to inquire about out-of-network benefits.

Some of the following questions to consider asking your insurance company:

    • Do I have any out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible?

    • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

    • How much will I be reimbursed for a 45 minute psychotherapy session (CPT Code: 90834) or 60 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90837)?

Alternatively, I can verify your benefits using Mentaya or you can refer to Mentaya’s out-of-network reimbursement calculator below to get an individualized estimate of your costs using your out-of-network benefits.

  • Your initial appointment will last up to 90 minutes, followed by your choice of subsequent 60 or 45-minute sessions. During our first meeting, we'll delve into your current stressors and goals, and I'll ask questions to better understand your unique perspective. This session is an opportunity for us to connect and explore the path forward together.

In therapy, you'll receive real time feedback, support, and the chance to learn new skills while gaining insight into yourself. It's a safe space where you can express yourself without judgment. Therapy isn't always easy, but with the right support, it can be incredibly rewarding.

  • Currently offering virtual therapy to NJ residents and in person services in Redbank, NJ. I'm working towards licensing in other states, but for now, your feet (virtually or physically) need to be in NJ for access to counseling services.

  • You're the expert on your experiences, and while I can't predict a specific timeframe, we can schedule regular check-ins to discuss your progress towards your goals. Life's unpredictability means new challenges may arise, and our approach can adapt to these changes. Each individual's path is unique, but with dedicated support, you can strengthen your abilities to navigate your personal growth journey effectively.

  • I completely understand that the whirlwind of life can bring unexpected changes. To ensure the smooth flow of our sessions, kindly provide a 24-hour notice for any cancellations. This allows us to accommodate your needs effectively and avoid a cancellation fee. Your understanding is truly appreciated.

  • Congratulations on reaching this beautiful milestone! Beyond bridal counseling, many clients return to continue therapy sessions as they navigate the new transitional phase of post-wedding life. If you find that you'd like ongoing support and guidance, I'm delighted to continue offering individual sessions tailored to your evolving needs. Your journey doesn't have to end with the wedding day—I'm here to support you in every chapter of your life.

  • Currently, the services I provide are outlined on my website. However, I'm always exploring new and creative ways to enhance your therapeutic experience. This includes the idea of offering group therapy topics in the near future.

If you have any collaboration ideas, specific topics, or innovative concepts you'd like to see in this space, please feel free to reach out. Your input is valued, and I'm open to shaping my offerings to better serve your needs.

  • Committing to therapy is a big decision. I usually recommend starting with weekly sessions for the first 6-8 weeks to help you see progress more quickly. From there, we can decide together if transitioning to biweekly sessions makes sense for you. The frequency of sessions is a collective process and could increase or decrease over time depending on your needs.

  • If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you or if we're a good fit, I completely understand the hesitation. The free 15-minute intro call provides a chance to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and how I can support you best. Like any relationship, I recommend starting with 3-4 sessions to get a feel for my approach and the potential for uncovering deeper aspects of yourself. Therapy is an investment in your well-being, and I'm here to support you on your journey.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059
